Despite defection of ex-Bauchi APC Guber aspirant to PDP, steering committee members reiterate loyalty to party, Ambassador Sadique

The members of Steering committee of the former governorship aspirant under the All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Mahmud Maijama’a Ajiya, has expressed their loyalty and total commitment to success of the party in all elective positions ahead of the 2023 general elections.
Addressing a press conference at the Secretariat of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Bauchi, Chairman of the Committee, Hon. Garba Musa Kore said they wish to notify the
general public of their resolve not to follow Mahmud Maijama’a as he decamped to PDP.
“Our stand emanated from a meeting we held
yesterday, 13th November, 2022 at the residence of Hon. Hussaini Umar (Majikiran Bauchi)”, the Chairman explained.
According to him, “after streaming-lining our teaming supports
to the candidature of Amb. Air Marshal Sadique Baba Abubakar (Rtd), of APC with 100% support and loyalty. Our decision remains resolute and for the overall interest of Bauchi State”.
Musa Kore noted that the Mahmud Maijama’a Steering Committee comprises of former
Commissioners, members of State assembly, former local government chairmen retired Permanent secretaries, Advisers, Special Assistants,
Secretaries, Directors, Leaders of Civil Society/Organizations, Youth
and Women Groups.
“While reiterating our unshaken stand, we call on the good people of
Bauchi State to rally support for Air Marshal Sadique Baba Abubakar and the APC so that a new prosperous Bauchi state will emerge”, he said.
“I urge the entire people of Bauchi state to support the movement for the actualization of Ambassador Sadique Baba Abubakar’s governorship ambition in order to have Bauchi State of prompt payment of salaries, revamped agricultural sector, revamped
moribund industries”, Kore said.
He further appealed for the election of the APC Gubernatorial candidate to enable Bauchi state have improved advanced educational status, efficient health care delivery, productivity, enhanced civil service, mass housing, value for Traditional Rulers and above all, employment for the teaming youth, among others.
