Fed university Kashere promotes Dr. Umar to Reader Rank on Islamic Studies

The Federal University of Kashere, Gombe state has promoted Dr. Aminu Umar of the Department of Religious Studies,
Faculty of Humanities of the university to the rank of Reader in Islamic Studies.
The promotion of Dr. Umar which was contained in a letter dated 27th November, 2024 with reference number FUK/R/AS/SF/1402 noted that his promotion followed the receipt of Positive External Assessment reports in his favour.
Titled; “Notification for Promotion to the Rank of Reader”, the letter which was signed by MRS. AISHA BABAYOLA
Ag. Registrar Secretary to Council, said Dr. Umar’s promotion was approved by the Governing Council of the university.
“I am pleased to inform you that the Governing Council at its 24th Regular Meeting held on Tuesday, 19th November, 2024 considered and approved your promotion to the rank of Reader in Islamic Studies on CONUASS 6/3 with effect from 1st January, 2024”, part of the letter reads.
The letter which congratulated Dr Umar over the promotion, urged him to demonstrate and provide leadership in teaching and research, and to also provide purposeful mentorship to his younger colleagues in the Department.
