Misau/Dambam Reps aspirant, Bappayo pledges educational, Community development

A house of representatives aspirant for Misau/Dambam federal constituency in Bauchi state under the platform of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Alhaji Sabo Bappayo Ahmed has promised to initiate policies and Programmes towards the educational and community development of his people.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with our Corresspondent at his Dagauda resident on Monday, the aspirant described Education as the most vital ingredient in the development of every society.

“Education is like salt in a soup, without which, there will be no development”.

According to him, it was necessary for him to answer the numerous calls from the people of his constituency to contest for the seat in order to bring positive impact on their lives.

The house of representatives hopeful while pointed out that he has a lot of agendas, noted that top among them are how to work towards addressing the plights of youth and women.

“We have many youths and women in my constituency, both the educated and non-educated. The uneducated wants to acquire skills and the educated ones want to be employed be it in government or private establishments”, he further noted.

Sabo Bappayo Ahmed a former Senior Special Assistant to Governor Isah Yuguda on Multilateral and Donor Agencies, Permanent Secretary Government house, Permanent Secretary SUBEB and retired as Permanent Secretary at Local Government Service Commission Bauchi.

“Haven served in various capacities as a civil servant and retired, I feel it is needful to answer the agitations of my people to contest for this position so that I will contribute my own quota towards delivery of dividends of democracy”, he assured.

The aspirant said he was prompted to answer the calls to contest in order to help youths and women in his constituency to become self reliant by engaging them into meaningful ventures if elected.

He said as someone who was opportuned to work directly under five governors with trust, he has acquired the needed skills of governance to represent his people well.

The aspirant who acknowledged that the youths have been playing vital role in the development of every Community, said other citizens of his constituency would not be left out if he is elected in 2023.

Alhaji Sabo while noting that the people of his constituency and Bauchi state by extension are farmers, assured that he will lobby the relevant authorities to ensure that (River Maladumba) is properly harnessed like that of Argungu in Kebbi state in order to improve the economy of the people of not only Misau/Dambam but Bauchi state in general.

“In Dambam, we have (River Diya) which people used it for farming in the past but now it has stopped, the impact of the two Rivers is no longer there as it was in the past, so I will used the opportunity to lobby the authorities concerned to revamp them”, he avverred.

The house of representatives aspirant who said his zeal is to whether elected or not, award Scholarship, sponsor the payment of NECO/WAEC fees for the youth, both male and female as well as supply fertilizer to the farmers

Sabo Bappayo who said politics should not be taken as a do or die affair, solicited for the support of all stakeholders in Misau and Dambam to enable him fly the ticket of the party to success.
