Giade LG Chairman flags-off subsidy removal palliatives

Caretaker Committee Chairman of Giade local government area of Bauchi state, Honourable Usman Mohammed Saleh (RANDY) on Tuesday, performed the flagging -off ceremony of fuel subsidy removal palliatives to cushion the hardship been faced by vulnerable members of the society.

Speaking during the distribution exercise, Usman RANDY who expressed gratitude to Governor Bala Mohammed of state for the gesture, noted that about 2,000 bags of rice were to be distributed to the beneficiaries of the gesture.

He said that the distribution of the palliative packages would be done according to the respective polling units as directed by the Governor.

The LG chairman who thanked Governor Bala Mohammed for coming to the aid of the good people of Giade at this critical time of hardship, said that the gesture will greatly assuage their sufferings.
Also speaking, the state Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management, Honourable Hajara Yakubu Wanka thanked the Governor for finding her and her ministry worthy of coordinating the palliative distribution exercise.

“Just like others have said, this is the initiative of the federal government and the state government in order to reduce the current hardship following the removal of subsidy on fuel before things get back to normal”, she said.

She expressed delight and gratitude to the Caretaker Committee Chairman of Giade for the role played towards ensuring Successful distribution of the palliatives.
