Gungzaar-select Komo preaches peace at Lemb zaar cultural festival

The Gungzaar-select of Zaar (Sayawa) Community in Bauchi state, Retired Air Commodore Ishaku Komo has called for continued peaceful coexistence among the people in order to attain the desired development.

The monarch-select made the call during the occasion of the 2023 Lembzaar annual cultural festival held at the Tafawa Balewa central primary school on Saturday.

He urged his kinsmen to continue to coexist peacefully with other ethnic groups in order to sustain the current peace in Bogoro and Tafawa Balewa local government areas of the state.

Retired Air Commodore Ishaku Komo who said that the Zaar Community is known for its tolerance and peaceful coexistence, advised the Zaar sons and daughters to always be their brothers keepers.

Retired Air Commodore Ishaku Komo who noted that lack of peace always retard development in every society, enjoined the Zaar Community to embrace peace and ensure respect for the constituted authorities.

The traditional leader who decried that selfish interest among his kinsmen has caused some divisions among them, advocated for unity to enable peace and harmony thrive for the overall interest of not only Zaar Community but Bauchi state in general.

The Gungzaar-select who attributed the current division in Zaar Community to quest for materialism, advised the youth to engage in meaningful ventures in order to fend for themselves.

“While welcoming you to this year’s Lemb Zaar cultural festival, I enjoin you to be your brothers keepers. Wherever you meet, be it in other states of Nigeria or outside the country, please try to help each other with accommodation, food, job, among others for the betterment of the land”, the Gungzaar-select pleaded.

“If we allow something to continue to divide us, we will be at the receiving end and we not get the blessings that God has already prepared for the land”, he cautioned.

Retired Air Commodore Komo who called on the people of his area to continue to pray for God to bless Zaar land, Bauchi state and Nigeria as a whole, urged them to always forgive one another.
