How Governor Bala emerged PDP Governors’ Forum Chairman

Elected Governors and National assembly members under the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Saturday converged in Bauchi for a retreat, during which the host Governor, Bala Mohammed was elected as the Chairman of the party’s Governors forum.

Our Corresspondent reports that Governor Bala Mohammed was unanimously elected to chair the forum by members of the forum at the Banquet hall of the government house Bauchi.

With the current development, Governor Bala is succeeding the immediate past Governor of Sokoto, Rt. Hon Aminu Waziri Tambuwal.

While announcing the decision of the forum, the Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri said the forum also elected Rivers State Governor Similaye Fubara as vice chairman.

According to Fintiri, the meeting which was attended by stakeholders of the party, brainstormed on how to move the PDP, particularly election-related legal suits pending in courts.

The retreat had in attendance, all the elected PDP Governors, former vice president, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, former Governor of Adamawa state, Boni Haruna, Ola Makinde of Ibadan, Oyo state, among others.
