LG Election: PDP’s Hussaini wins Misau LG Chairmanship seat

The Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. Salisu Hussain Hardawa has emerged as the winner of the Saturday 17th August, 2023 local government elections in Misau local government area of Bauchi state.

Announcing the results of the election, the returning Officer for Misau local government election said candidate of the PDP Hon. Salisu Hussain Hardawa got thirty five thousand, three hundred and fifty five (35, 355) votes while candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Maiwada Mohammed Bakoji polled six thousand, six hundred and twenty nine (6,629 votes.

The returning Officer declared PDP candidate Hon Salisu Hussain Hardawa as the winner and returned him elected.

In his vote of thanks, Hon Salisu Hardawa appreciated the people of Misau for giving him the mandate.

He commended the electorates for coming out enmass to vote for him in the keenly contested local government elections.

On his part, the Misau local government chairman of the PDP, Hon Abdul Haruna, thanked those who contributed to the success of his party in the election, assuring that the PDP will continue to ensure the provision of good governance and democracy dividends to the people.

The newly elected Misau local government chairman was accompanied by Alh Yarima Mohammed (Sa’in Misau) and Hon Abdu Haruna among others.
