Ningi LG Chairman thanks Governor Bala for reinstating him months after been suspended

The Executive Chairman of Ningi Local Government area of Bauchi state, Honourable Mahmood Hassan Tabla has expressed appreciation to Governor Bala Mohammed of the state for ordering his reinstatement back to his office after his recent suspension from office.

Our Corresspondent reports that Honourable Tabla was suspended from office over issues bordering on Lame/ Burra Forest.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with our Corresspondent on Wednesday, Tabla while thanking God for the new development recalled that some time in March something came up bordering alleging that he was involved in issues surrounding Lame/ Burra Forest saga.

The local government Chairman expressed gratitude to God and the Governor for his exoneration from all the allegations.

“I Thank God that His Excellency, the executive Governor of our dear state, in his wisdom and his antecedents as someone who is always just and fair promised to ensure fairness and justice on the matter, and fulfilled his promise by ordering my reinstatement after investigation found me clean”, he said.

Tabla who said he is one of the local government Chairmen that the governor is proud of said, “but despite that and even my closeness to him, he didn’t shield me from been investigated because of his respect for rule of law and due process”.

“The matter led to my suspension from office and I accepted it in good faith while appealing to my people to remain calm. I reminded them that I am also a citizen of the state who is also bound by the laws of the land just like I emerged the local government chairman through lawful means and there is nothing I can do without complying with the law”, Hon Tabla further explained.

“Thank God, about three weeks after my suspension, series of investigations were carried out on me on the allegations levelled against me but at the end of it all, it was discovered that I have no hand in it”, the LG Chairman pointed out.

According to him, Governor Bala Mohammed in his usual way of doing justice and fairness, ordered for his reinstatement back to the office.

“Honestly speaking, I lack words to thank the Governor for what he did for me. I really thank him so much and I pray Allah to reward him for his selfless service to the good people of Bauchi state”, Tabla said.

He recalled that, “When the allegations came flying, he pledged to do justice and fairness on the matter. He told me that the state government will take serious measures to ascertain the true position of things regarding the allegations and that he will not spare me if I am found wanting at the end of the investigation”.

Hon Tabla expressed appreciation God that after investigation he was not found wanting and the Governor ordered for his reinstatement.

“This is justice, this is a sign of good leadership”, he said

He described Governor Bala Mohammed as a true servant of Allah who adheres strictly to the teachings of the Holy Qur’an which preaches justice and fairness.

“The Governor pledged to the people of Bauchi state that he will govern them with justice and fairness and has been fulfilling the promise since assumption of office in 2019”, the Chairman noted.

While praying for the success of Governor Bala Mohammed’s administration, the LG Chairman thanked Her Excellency, the First Lady, Hajiya Dr. Aisha Bala Mohammed for offering meaningful advises to her husband as well as her motherly role in the development of Bauchi state.

The LG Chairman also appreciated the the state Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji Hamza Koshe Akuyam for strengthening the party in the state as well as Senator Abdul Ningi for his continues support to the PDP led administration in the state.

He advised the people of Ningi and Bauchi state as a whole to continue to be law abiding and supportive to the present administration in its quest to bring the state out of the woods through the laudable projects being executed across 20 local government areas of Bauchi state.
