Misau LG chairman moves to address perennial flood in LEA

The Caretaker Committee Chairman of Misau local government area of Bauchi state, Hon Salisu Husaini Dondo has on Friday paid a visit to the Local government education authority (LEA) with a view to finding a lasting solution to the perennial flood affecting the place.
Hon Dondo who also holds the traditional title of Zannan Hardawa was at the LEA secretariat alongside ward councilors and the Director admin of the local government to see how best, to address flooding which has been affecting the LEA secretariat every rainy season.
Receiving the Chairman and his entourage, the education secretary of the local government, Alhaji Abdu Hardawa expressed gratitude to the chairman over the concern and the effort to address the decades long problem.
He disclosed that the caretaker Committee Chairman, Hon Salisu Husaini Dondo is the first local government chairman who moved to address flooding in the local government education authority (LEA).
“We have complaining about the flood that used to submerged the secretariat for long but got no attention until now that Zannan Hardawa came on board”, he said.
The education secretary who said it did not surprise them at all going by the antecedent of the LG chairman who always care about the plights of his people.
While responding, the caretaker Committee Chairman ordered that work on the area commence in earnest toward addressing the problem to ease the movements of people living around that axis.
The LG chairman who described education as very important aspect of human endeavour, promised to ensure that the vehicle belonging to the LEA is repaired and the offices renovated to create conducive working environment for the staff.
