PDP links Nigeria’s Economic woes to FG’s poor governance

The opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) on Tuesday blamed the present economic hardship facing Nigerians on the poor governance of the All Progressives Congress (APC) led federal government.

The PDP made this known through a delegation of the party led by its National Legal Adviser, Barrister Kamaludeen Ajibade, SAN which visited Governor Bala Mohammed at the government house Bauchi yesterday.

“PDP stands in solidarity with Nigerians facing economic hardship due to poor governance at the federal level”, a press statement containing the outcome of a meeting between the delegation and the Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Governors Forum Bala Mohammed said.

The party emphasized the need for unity among its members with a view to rescuing the country from the current All Progressives Congress (APC) government.

It stated that the party remains committed to providing alternative solutions that will restore economic stability, social welfare, and improved governance.

“As a formidable political force, the PDP will continue to work toward lifting Nigerians out of the current economic difficulties and delivering on its promise of good governance”, the statement assured.

Signed by the Director General (DG) of the PDP Governors Forum, Dr. Emmanuel Agbo, the press statement added that the NWC were in the state to also felicitate with Governor Bala on the giant developmental strides recorded by his administration in delivering democracy dividends to the people of the state.

The delegation commended the courage and commitment of the Governors Forum in repositioning the party as it strives to deepen democracy and rescue Nigeria from the deep-seated problems confronting her.

The meeting acknowledged the historical significance of the PDP in shaping Nigeria’s democracy and national development as evidenced by the 16 years of responsible governance, economic growth, and infrastructural development.

It said, even in its current role as the primary opposition, the PDP continues to advocate for good governance, economic recovery, and social justice, ensuring that the aspirations of Nigerians for a better future are realized through constructive opposition.
