Presidential aspirant for NMA, Dr. Bala Audu pledges participatory leadership

An aspirant for the position of President, Nigeria Medical Association (NMA), Dr. Bala M. Audu has promised to ensure participatory leadership if given the mandate to pilot the affairs of the association.
Dr. Bala Audu who stated this in his manifesto, said: “I will establish a freely participatory good governance for NMA with accountability and transparency”.
According to him, if elected as president of the association in the forthcoming National election, he will ensure the involvement of all states and affiliates in running the affairs of the association as well as ensuring the well-being of doctors across all levels and categories of employment.
According to him, if elected president of the NMA, he will ensure improved
welfare packages for all doctors.
Dr. Audu also pledge collaboration with relevant government ministries, departments and agencies to improve public and private sector performances in the delivery of quality healthcare.
He also promised to work towards increased employment of medical academics and expansion of facilities to accommodate the needed expansion for doubling the carrying for training medical and dental graduates as well as ensure improvement in the workplace environment that enables the delivery of sustainable quality
healthcare through physician-driven care
at all levels of care.
The aspirant for the NMA president said he will engage all tiers of government towards the universality of doctors’ welfare and workplace and also source alternative funding to complete the NMA House.
