UNIMAD matriculates about 10,714 students for the 2020/2021 academic session.

The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Maiduguri, Prof. Aliyu Shugaba MIPAN FCSN, has today presided over the University’s 40th Matriculation Ceremony of about 10, 714 students for the 2020/2021 Academic Session held at the Convocation Square of the University.
The VC, along with some other Principal Officers, Provost, Deans, Directors, Heads of Departments, and Coordinators, were also in attendance during the matriculation exercise.
The Vice-Chancellor, who was represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academic Services Prof. Sa’idu Baba, the VC admonished the students to be proactive in the face of daunting challenges of building their educational career.
He charged them to eschew all manner of acts that negate the real essence of their presence in the university, adding that, in his capacity as the VC, he will provide the enabling environment that will make learning friendly.
The ceremony was largely successful as the matriculated students were conspicuously elated to be joining one of the best institutions of higher learning in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Parents, guardians, and well-wishers from all over the country graced the occasions.
