Youths Forum Canvasses Support For Almakura As APC National Chair

All Progressives Congress (APC) Youths Progressive Forum has said that it is fully determined to deliver Senator Umaru Tanko Almakura as the Party’s National Chairman in the forthcoming national convention.

The National Chairman APC Youth Progressive Forum , Rt. Hon. Ukkasha Hamza Rahama said at a press conference in Bauchi Thursday that they applied all energy and resources to sustain the gains in the party having demonstrated that capacity during the defunct CPC which later metamorphosed into the ruling APC.

“We want to make our position clear and known to all and sundry that only the likes of Senator Almakura can manage the current ranglings in APC to sustain the gains and secure the future return it back to its glory days if elected National Chairman.”

“Our collective resolution is bone out of contention to ensure the ruling APC stands on its feet viable and strong even after President Muhammadu Buhari tenure elapses as in May, 2023. Part of the move to sustain the gains in the ruling APC is by ensuring that Almakura emerge”, said the youths.

The APC-YPF explained that It is an unarguable that among all the contestants for the office of the APC National Chairman, Senator Almakura remain the only dependable, reliable and trustworthy candidate to salvage the party and chart its course for winning the 2023 general elections.

“As one of the founding fathers of the APC and his contributions to the success of President Muhammadu Buhari administration is glaring in the eyes of the world. Almakura replicated the same when he served as Governor of Nasarawa State and currently as Senator of the Federal Republic representing Nasarawa North”.

Rt. Hon. Ukkasha Hamza Rahama therefore solicits the support of all APC stakeholders, particularly the party’s national delegates to the national convention to ensure that they take decision in favour of the national interest of all APC members in Nigeria by voting Senator Almakura as the next national chairman.

Rahama observed that the emergence of Almakura as the national chairman of the party is the only road map for an emerging new All Progressive Congress where Justice, fairness and equity shall prevail, and stressed the need for the Mai Mala led committee to fast track and ensure that the convention takes place as scheduled.

He also appealed for the provision of a level playing ground during the forthcoming national convention of the party to minimize internal conflicts that may emerge in its aftermath, adding “The forum’s electioneering campaigns on the choice of Almakura would soon tour all the geopolitical zones of the country”.

According to him, the forum has extensive consultations within the party hierarchy, women groups, youths’ associations and stakeholders within the ruling party particularly delegates to the convention from the Northeast and other parts of the country that gave them confidence Almakura will emerge the party’s national chairman.

Rahama said, “We shall continue to support the realization of this goal so that the unborn generations will read and borrow from the APC National archives that we have made outstanding sacrifices for credibility to emerge by supporting Senator Almakura canditure during the party’s historic National convention February 2022.

“We are looking beyond our region in the North East and travel far away to Nasarawa State to identify ourselves with Almakura believing that he has all the requisite experience to advance the course of the ruling APC and sustain its gains and secure the future.”

He replicated the same when he served as Governor of Nasarawa State and currently as Senator of the Federal Republic Representing Nasarawa North. This is an expression of confidence the party members has on him to sustain the rulling All Progressive Congress change policies and programs.”

”He further said, “I believes that Almakura will offer an open-door policy and I will keep to promises to be made in the course of our electioneering campaign coming soon in all the geopolitical zones of the country. In addition, today I reiterate my commitment to acting as an impartial coordinator, objective and open facilitator in ensuring that Senator Almakura emerges as the next National Chairman of All Progressive Congress. His entrepreneurship and his courage in seeking to achieve the best results rather than the easiest to be the next chairman of APC. I pledge to support his initiatives, according to the overwhelming support he received from Members of the APC particularly the stakeholders.”
