Weeks after cabinet dissolution, Gov Bala exempt BACATMA, Hospital Mgt board Chairmen

Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi state has excluded the Executive Chairman,
Bauchi State Agency for the Control HIV/AIDS,
Tuberculosis, Leprosy and Malaria (BACATMA), Dr. Sani Mohammed Dambam as well as the State Executive Chairman of the Hospital Management Board, Dr. Mohammed Sambo Alkali from the recent executive directive which dissolved all political appointees in the state.

The new order was contained in a separate letters addressed to the two public officials and signed by the Permanent Secretary, General Services, Danjuma Garba on behalf of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG).

Dated 19th June, 2023, the letter informed that Governor Bala Mohammed has asked them to continue with their work.

Titled; “Re: Disengagement of Political Office Holders”, the letter further explained that their exemption is informed by their track records of hard work, trust
worthiness, dedication, commitment and wealth of experience.

“I am directed to refer to the Government’s pronouncement of Thursday, 25th May, 2023 on the disengagement of Political Office Holders in the State and to inform you that His Excellency, Sen. Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed,
CON, (Kauran Bauchi), the Executive Governor of Bauchi State has
approved your exemption from the disengagement order”, the letter said.

“Accordingly, you are
to remain and continue serving as the Executive Chairman Bauchi State
Agency for the Control HIV/AIDS, TB/Leprosy and Malaria (BACATMA) and Executive Chairman of the Hospital Management Board”, the new executive order said.

The Governor enjoined the two public officials to continue to bring the aforementioned qualities to bear in the
discharge of their official responsibilities to justify the confidence repose in them.

Our Corresspondent reports that the order of exemption was similarly extended to the Special Adviser on media and communication to the Governor, Alhaji Mukhtar Gidado.
