Mega Schools built by NEDC in Gombe will boost school enrollment – Group

The Gombe Unity and Development Mandate Forum (GUDMF), has on Tuesday acknowledged that the three mega schools constructed by the North East Development Commission (NEDC) across three Senatorial districts of Gombe state will go a long way in addressing the menace of out-of-school children.

According to the group, the schools, cited in Dadin Kowa, Dukku and Kaltungo towns to accommodate large number of pupils, clearly indicated the determination of the commission to help the people of Gombe State enhance their potentials.

In a press statement signed by the group’s National Chairman, Engineer Aliyu Musa Aliyu, the managing director of the NEDC, Mr. Mohammed Goni Alkali got applauded for proving that he is indeed, an indigene of Gombe state.

The National Chairman, Engineer Aliyu Musa Aliyu said that the people of Gombe have nothing but praise and love for the NEDC managing director’s numerous assistance to Gombe citizens.

He added that the communities are considering award for Goni, especially in his effort towards addressing the menace of out-of-school children through the provision of the three mega schools.

The group while thanking NEDC for the quality work executed, equally appreciated the modern learning equipment’s put in the three Schools.

The chairman of the group assured that the people of Gombe state will make the best use of the Schools established across the three Senatorial Districts.
