Prof. Ahidjo Visits ATBUTH Bauchi, Pledges Collaboration

The Chief Medical Director of the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital (UMTH), Prof. Ahmed Ahidjo, has paid a two-day working visit to the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital (ATBUTH) Bauchi.
According to a press statement from the office of the CMD, the visit aimed to explore opportunities for capacity building, manpower sharing, and institutional partnerships.
Prof. Ahidjo commended the management and staff of ATBUTH for their efforts in improving healthcare services.
He emphasized the need for regional collaboration, joint research, and exchange of expertise to uplift the standard of medical practice.
Responding, the Chief Medical Director of ATBUTH, Prof. Yusuf Bara Jibrin, welcomed Prof. Ahidjo’s visit, describing it as a significant step towards fostering synergy among tertiary health institutions in the region.
He disclosed that the partnership is expected to strengthen institutional capacities, enhance training, research, and capacity development.
He added that partnership will also improve healthcare services and provide world-class healthcare services across the Northeast region.
