2023: Bauchi ÀPC Gov’ship candidate pledges better days for women, youth

Ambassador Sadique Baba Abubakar, the All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship candidate in Bauchi state has promised better days for women and youth if elected in next year.

Ambassador Sadique Baba Abubakar, the immediate past Nigerian Chief of Air Staff made the pledge in Darazo local government area of Bauchi on Friday.

Speaking during the closing ceremony of a football competition organised by a supporter of the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Sadique pledged to restore the lost glory of education if elected Governor of Bauchi state.

He stressed that unless attention is given to education, skills acquisitions and job creation for the youth, they will remain a ready made tools in the hands of insurgents, kidnappers and other criminal elements.

“In Sha Allah, if elected, our administration will ensure that youth, who constitute the majority of our increasing population, will be engaged to make them productive members of our society’, he said.

The retired air force chief who wondered why the present administration plays politics with the school children feeding programme, promised that his administration will provide a level playing field where everybody can openly compete for contracts, including the local primary schools food vendors.

According to him, Air Marshal Sadique, a comprehensive youth and women empowerment programme has been worked out as a way of reducing over dependence on paid jobs.

The APC Bauchi governorship candidate said, if elected Governor, his Government will open up windows of untapped opportunities in other sectors for the benefit of the good people of the state.
