2023: Bauchi APC Gov’ship running mate appreciates supporters’ massive Campaign turn out, pledges better days

Delighted over what he termed as massive turn out of residents in some local government areas so far toured during their campaigns, the running mate to the Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Shehu Aliyu Musa has expressed optimisms that the party will emerge victorious in the upcoming February and March general elections.

Speaking in an interview with our Corresspondent, Alhaji Shehu pointed out that the LGs of Darazo, Misau, Dambam, Gamawa and Zaki so far toured by the party’s Guber Campaign train indicated that the masses of Bauchi state are actually yearning for change.

“Honestly speaking, anybody who has been with us in these local government areas that we have toured will testify that APC has come to stay in Bauchi state”, he said.

According to him, the people of those local governments defied all odds to turn out en mass in order to welcome their campaign train and to listen to messages of hope from the Governorship candidate of the party, Ambassador Sadique Baba Abubakar and his team.

The deputy Governorship candidate who said that the massive support and turn out accorded them by the good people of Bauchi state is a demonstration of mutual trust and goodwill, the masses have for the party and its candidates.

“We really appreciate the people for their support to us, in all the local government areas that we have toured, people came out in their large number, men and women, including married women and the youth to welcome us. In each of the areas visited, we used to pay homage to the traditional leaders to seek for their fatherly blessings and prayers”, he said.

According to the deputy Governorship candidate, the love for APC candidates is visible in the faces of Bauchi state people, adding that Bauchi is the state of APC.

Shehu Aliyu Musa who said that the APC is all out to fight poverty among the youth and women, lamented that the youth and women have long been left behind in the scheme governance in Bauchi state.

“If you look at it critically, the youth are the backbone of every society but their educational needs has not been taken care of, they are lagging behind, that’s why a lot of them are unemployed and some are into thuggery”, he said.

Aliyu who said if nothing is done to curb the gap, time will come when no one will be safe, said that the APC has a good plan to tackle the problem if elected in the upcoming February and March general elections.

“We will ensure that the education of our youth is taken care of, and for those who have grown to a particular level or graduated, we will create jobs for them through skills acquisition Programmes. In this plan, women would not be left behind, because they constitute the largest chunk of the voters”, he said.

“We will ensure that the women are carried along like never before, they are ones that are always in queues, come rain, come sun, we will give them skills, we will give them capital to start businesses”, Musa Aliyu assured.

The deputy Governorship candidate while lamenting the decay in the education sector, assured that if elected in 2023, the APC will embark on massive renovation and construction of schools as well as provision of adequate manpower to handle the schools for better result.

Musa Aliyu who said that the APC is poised to ensuring that the civil servants, both serving and retired are given what is due for them if elected, disclosed that the intention of the APC is to do away with injustice and entrench justice and fairness in governance in the state.
