2023: Commissioner Wants Electorate Dumps Tinubu, Bauchi Guber Candidate At Polls

BY KHALID IDRIS DOYA, Bauchi

Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs in Bauchi state, Abdulrazak Nuhu Zaki has tendered a passionate appeal to Nigerians generally to ensure that they did not vote APC presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu whom, he considered, is incapable based upon his old age to steer the ship of Nigerian state.

On Bauchi gubernatorial elections next year, commissioner zaki warned electorate to beware of the idles of retired security officer whom, he observed, is inexperienced in partisan politics, as well as democratic norms and values, hence his election could either be a jeopardy or multiply catastrophes.

According to him, the APC presidential flagbearer has aged over 80 years which is far ahead than the incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari whose low performance in the last seven years retrogressively retarded the country in virtually every sector of the economy.

Speaking to journalists on the forthcoming 2023 general elections in Bauchi, the commissioner wondered how can such an APC presidential candidate in the likes of Asiwaju Tinubu whose walking is supported by a stick could be able to lead Nigeria in such an unpredictable world, saying ‘he slowly even passes baba go-slow’.

Hon. Abdulrazak Zaki recalled that President Muhammadu Buhari had during his electioneering campaigns in 2015 usually used the Hausa slogan ‘Jiki Magayi’ meaning that your body will communicate you about situations, as Nigerians are today negatively feeling the impact of the APC-led government, hence Tinubu’s leadership could be the worst in the country.

He therefore advised the Nigerian electorates to rally round the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), its presidential flagbearer and Nigeria’s former vice president, Atiku Abubakar who had eight years’ governance experience at the national level, a versatile politician and business guru.

Hon. Zaki expressed optimism that Bauch state Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed would sweep the polls comes 2023 general elections and usher into his second term in office describing the APC with the Hausa dictum which says, ‘Tarin tsintsiya babu shara’ meaning, a collection of brooms that could hardly be sweeping.

On the planned expansion of the Bauchi central market by the PDP-led administration in the state, the commissioner explained that the project is to be executed through public private partnership, saying however that undertaking such project during raining season usually runs into lost to a contractor.

Zaki expressed confidence that with the massive cross-carpeting of notable politicians from the APC to the PDP, the stage is set for the ruling party in the state to emerge victorious in the 2023 general elections.
