2023: it’s clear that APC will reclaim power in Bauchi, Party chieftain says

A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and member of the party’s Presidential Campaign Council, Logistics and Protocol Committee, Hon. Dr. Godfrey Manasseh has said that indications have clearly shown that come 2023, the party will reclaim power in Bauchi state.
Dr. Manasseh who is also the Bauchi State Youth patron for Tinubu/Kashim Hon, Dr. Godfrey Manasseh made this assertion in an interview with our correspondent recently.
He boasted that the APC has all it takes to reclaim power from the ruling Peoples Democratic party (PDP) in Bauchi State.
According to him, prior to the 2019 general elections, the PDP used propaganda that the ruling APC in the state then was not paying salary, gratuity and pension.
He lamented that since the PDP took over mantle of governance in the state, nothing has been done about it.
“I can tell you confidently that in the forthcoming general elections, we are ready to reclaim our mandate”, he vowed.
Manasseh expressed optimisms that the party’s gubernatorial candidate, Air mashal Sadique Baba Abubakar (retired) stands a better chance of defeating the incumbent Governor, Bala Mohammed of the People Democratic party (PDP).
“Bauchi State governor need to be replaced with retired Air Marshal who knows what is happening around the globe in order to provide the much needed dividends of democracy as is been seen in some states”, he said.
Dr. Manasseh pointed out that it is incumbent on all the people of Bauchi state to elect better people as leaders.
“In Bauchi State, we lack good representation. We need someone who has the interest of the people at heart, someone who will make sure his people don’t go to bed with empty stomach, make quality health services accessible to all, empower and not to be building their families and relatives alone” Manasseh said.
He described Ambassador Sadique Baba Abubakar as a true democrat and a visionary leader who has the capacity and experience to lead the good people of Bauchi State.
“Sadique has brought so much development to Bauchi state such as the Air force base, recruiting Bauchi youths into air force, engaging Women in skills acquisition, settling of Hospital bills, payment of school fees to students, provision of farm inputs to the farmers, among others”, he added.
Manasseh further noted that the APC Governorship candidate is competent enough to preside over the affairs of Bauchi state considering his track records of performance and loyalty to the party and the people of Bauchi State.
