Legislators of State Assemblies in the North East Zone have endorsed their unalloyed and unshaken support for the aspiration of Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Adoza Bello to the Office of the President of Nigeria come 2023.
The North-East, while describing the Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Adoza Bello as young and ebullient aspirant to the presidency, said that Bello has against all odds decided to take the bull by the horn to seek for the plum office of the President of Nigeria.
They also expressed their gratitude to the aspiring president for leading the clarion call for the Presidency of Nigeria to come to the North Central Zone, and urged him to have no fear or doubt in his race for the exalted office in the country.
Meeting of the lawmakers also agreed to call on the APC leadership to zone the presidency to the Northern Region of the country, saying “This is because, the North will rule for 10 years at the end of President Buhari’s tenure, while the Southern region has ruled for 14 years”.
It could be recalled that members have earlier in a communique passed a vote of confidence on the leadership style of Governor Mai Mala Buni-led Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee for aggressive repositioning of the APC prior to the national convention.
