2023 Presidency: Group Urges Osinbajo To Contest

By Ahmed Ahmed

A group under the auspices of the Higher Movement for Nigeria (HMN) has asked Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo to contest the presidency in the 2023 general election.

Mr Ishiaku Kelo, the convener of a rally in support of Osinbajo for presidency 2023 on Wednesday in Bauchi, said they don’t belong to any political party, they belong to Osinbajo.

He said we organised a rally to call on Mr Osinbajo to come and contest because he has the best qualities to succeed his principal President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023.

“Osinbajo is the most qualified to be president, He has been there; he understands the terrain more than anyone,” he said.

Kelo said Osinbanjo is a leader with vision and mission that transcends all tribal sentiments and considers our common humanity.

Mr Murtala Jalam, Co-Convener said

The vice President Osinbanjo is the kind of person Nigeria needs at the moment.

“Already history has itself chosen a man and that man is professor Osinbajo well-grounded and adequately prepared.

“Tested and trusted hand, with the right temperament, the intellectual firepower, and governance ethos best suited for this moment,” he said.

Another Co-Corvener Mrs. Peace Edward stressed that Nigerians need a leader with integrity, passionate with impeccable credentials, tested and proven, to deliver the country of our dreams, for the good of all Nigerians.

“Professor Yemi Osinbajo stands tall above all others as the most qualified for the job. Your Excellency, your country needs you now.

“Although Osinbajo hasn’t expressed interest in running for the office of the president, we are calling on him, to join the race please and please,” she said.
