Bauchi Govt. Appoints New Sumawa District Head

Alh. Mohammed Sarkina Shehu has been appointed as the District Head of Sumawa under Misau Emirate Council, Bauchi State.
The letter made available to newsmen indicated that the appointment was approved by Governor Sen. Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed.
It further explained that the appointment is in line with the Bauchi State Chieftaincy (Appointment and Deposition) Law (2025).
The letter disclosed that the newly appointed district head is expected to maintain good behavior, harmonious public relations, and loyalty to the government.
The chairman local service commission, Abubakar Mohammed Wabi, conveyed the appointment and requested a written acceptance.
Reacting to the appointment, Alh. Mohammed Sarkina Shehu thanked the governor upgrading his position from village head to district head.
He also appreciated the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Misau LGA chairman, committee for actualisation for Sumawa District for ensuring the realization of the District.
While praying for Allah guidance, the new district head pledged necessary cooperation and support to security agencies in order to promote peaceful coexistence in the area.
He also expressed appreciation to the government of Bala Mohammed for the Misau, Beti, Maladumba road projects.
The chief Imam of Misau central mosque, led a special prayer for the Governor and all that contributed in one way or the other to the project.
