Obasanjo To Commission 47.7km Road Projects In Bauchi

Former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo is scheduled to commission two major roads projects in Bauchi successfully constructed by the PDP-led administration of Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed administration under his Urban and Rural Renewal programme.

A statement by the special adviser to the state governor on media and publicity, Mukhtar Gidado said that Obasanjo is to commission the completed dualization of 17.7km Kano road to Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa International Airport Bauchi, and the 30km Gubi Gari, Ruda Bida, Siyi to Nasarawa road connecting two local Government areas of Bauchi and Ganjuwa in the state.

Comrade Mukhtar Gidado Mohammed explained that the roads infrastructural development is aimed at boosting the socio-economic activities of Bauchi State, are testament to the Governor’s unwavering commitment to the progress and well-being of the people. 

The Adviser stated that Governor Bala Mohammed has demonstrated exemplary leadership through numerous developmental projects, which have transformed the landscape of the state and improved the standard of living of its citizens.

He further explained that the construction of these roads is part of the larger vision of ensuring that Bauchi State remains a hub of development, investment, and growth in Northern Nigeria.

According to him, the visit of Chief Olusegun Obasanjo underscores the importance of these achievements and serves as a morale booster to the administration’s efforts to build a better future for Bauchi. 

Obasanjo who was also a former president under democratic dispensation has his presence in Bauchi state a reflection of the mutual respect and shared commitment to nation-building between past and present leadership, Gidado stated.

Comrade Gidado said that the state government is expressing its gratitude to Chief Olusegun Obasanjo for honouring the state with the visit and commission of such developmental projects for the socioeconomic and wellbeing of citizens.
