Bauchi Govt Assures Investors of Conducive Business Environment

The Bauchi State Government has assured investors of a conducive business environment in the state, pledging to make their investments safer and more important.

Governor Bala Mohammed made the assurance while speaking at the opening ceremony of the 2025 Bauchi investment summit held at the newly commissioned Ahmadu Bello International Conference Center Bauchi on Wednesday.

According to him, the Bauchi state government is partnering with the federal government under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to develop 50,000 hectares of land through irrigation as part of a food security program.

According to the governor, the initiative aims to improve the quality of life for the people of Bauchi.

The Governor highlighted several investment opportunities in the state, including, agricultural development, vehicles assembling plant through Styr company, among others.

He explained that Bauchi state is looking to develop its agricultural sector, with a focus on irrigation and farm mechanization.

“We’ll make your investments safer, we’ll make you more important than us, we know the importance of your been here, it is to improve the quality of lives of our people”, the Governor said.

While thanking President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his presence at the summit through his Vice, Senator Kashim Shattima, Governor Mohammed also appreciated the former Nigeria’s President Chief Olusegun Obasanjo for honoring the summit.

The Governor said, “we have so many investors that are here, especially the Chinese, we had agreement with the Province of Shandong where we agreed to do things together, we are learning so much from them, Shandong in terms of GDP they are bigger than the whole African continent but we are connected together in terms of development, exchange program”.

“Today we are here in Bauchi, in addition to other Chinese company, you have seen CGC, you have seen CCECC, and in deed, when I attended one of the conference in Tunisia we learnt so much, that we don’t have to go outside Africa to get quality or technology that is required to conquer our environment”, the governor stated.
