Gov Bala assures UNICEF of continued payment of counterpart funds to health, education sectors

Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi state has promised to continue to pay counterpart funds promptly to pave way for the provision of more health facilities and schools to the citizenry.
The Governor made the pledge when he received in audience, UNICEF Country representative, Cristian Munduate at the government house on Wednesday.
He thanked UNICEF and other donor partners for complimenting his administration’s various developmental strides in the areas of health education, water sanitation and hygiene among others.
Speaking earlier, the UNICEF country representative, Cristian Munduate said, she was in the state to inform the governor about UNICEF’s five year development plan which is centered on improving healthcare facilities at the grassroots.
According to her, the Programme also centered on education, particularly, the out of school children as well as water sanitation and hygiene among others that requires continues partnership.
