A.D Rufa’i College Deputy Provost-ship: Dr. Wakili Returned unopposed

The Deputy Provost, A.D Rufa’i College of Education, Legal and General Studies Misau, Dr. Sulaiman Sale Wakili has been returned to office unopposed.

Dr. Wakili’s second emergence as Provost of the college, our Correspondent reports was sequel to endorsement by the College’s academic staff union known as COESU.

This development followed the expiration of Dr. Wakili who has spent two years of his first tenure of office as Deputy provost of the college.

The union members during Congress meeting at the college, unanimously accepted Dr Wakili to continue for second term.

Upon his acceptance to continue as deputy provost the second term, Dr Wakili was encouraged by his colleagues during the Congress to redouble his efforts and performance as representative of Academic staff at principle officers meeting and at the management level.

The noted that been Deputy provost is not his personal appointment but for all members of COESU, adding he should carry everybody along in the discharge of his responsibilities.

While declaring Dr Sulaiman Wakili as the deputy provost elect, the COESU chairman, Mal. Babangida Dahiru said that Wakili was returned unopposed.

In his acceptance remarks, Dr. Wakili called on all members of academic staff to support him.

He also solicited for their prayers to enable him deliver effectively by ensuring that their rights are taken care of in line with the NCCE Guideline.

Our Corresspondent gathered that COESU had submitted the name of Dr Wakili to the college management for issuance of appointment letter.
