Abubakar Wins Re-election As Speaker Bauchi Assembly

Members-elect into the the Bauchi State House of Assembly Tuesday unanimously re-elected the immediate past speaker, Rt. Hon. Abubakar Y Suleiman (member representing Ningi from PDP) as the 10th Speaker of the House.
In the same token, the House also unanimously elected the member who representing Bauchi central constituency, Hon. Jamilu Dahiru (member PDP) as the deputy speaker of the house.
Speaker Abubakar Yakubu Suleiman was nominated for the reelection by Mubarak Haruna representing Jama’are constituency and seconded by Auwal Hassan from Shira constituency.
While the deputy speaker was nominated by Barrister Habibu Umar Esq and seconded by Bello Jadori from Gamawa constituency.
The reelection and election of Abubakar Y Suleiman as Speaker and the Deputy Speaker Jamilu Umar Dahiru was presided over by the House Clerk. Barrister Umar Yusuf Gital.
In his post election speech, Speaker Abubakar Yakubu Suleiman urged the lawmakers to imbibe the spirit of team work in order to provided the much needed democracy dividends to their respective constituents across the state.
