Aminu Saleh college’s science school conducts 4th national conference in Bauchi

The School of Science in the Aminu Saleh College of Education Azare has held its 2022 4th National Conference with the Theme: ‘The Role of Science Teacher Education in Combating Insecurity and Economic Challenges in Nigeria’.

Our Corresspondent gathered that the event was held at the Sule Katagum Memorial Hall COEASU Secretariat on Thursday.

The Dean, School of Science, Dr. Ibrahim Bello while welcoming the guests, applauded the effort of the local organizing Committee members doing a good job.

He further assured the gathering of his School’s readiness to bringing out practical and lasting solution to the Security and Economic Challenges bedeviling the country.

In her speech, the Provost of the college, Prof. Sadiya Asabe Mohammed Congratulated the School for organizing the conference .

Professor Asabe described the conference as timely considering the recent security and economic Challenges affecting the country, urging the presenters to ensure that they come up with a better and workable guidelines that will help in curtailing the the challenges.

The college Provost who lamented the low enrolment of Students in the College, appealed to government and the community to intervene in the issue to help safeguard the future of education in state.

She further commended the effort of the present governor Bala’s administration towards the improvement of education in the State.

Professor Asabe also thanked governor Bala for the unwaivering support given to the College for the overall development of education in the State

Also speaking, the state commissioner of education, Dr Aliyu Usman Tilde said that the present administration in the state has invested so much in the sector.

Represented by a Permanent Secretary in the ministry, Dr. Sule Adamu Madara, the commissioner said government has in her renewed vigor put in place enduring policies with view to improving the quality of education across the state, assuring that more measures are in the pipeline.

The event was coloured by paper presentation and goodwill messages by the Chairman of the Occasion, rtd. Deputy Controller, Nigerian Correctional Services, Alhaji Aminu Sule as well as HRH, Emir of Katagum, represented by the Former Provost of the College, Prof Daudu Bagari who is also the Shamakin Katagum.
