APC candidate for Katagum constituency, Ghali reiterates commitment to women, youth empowerment

The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Katagum federal constituency, Hon. Mohammed Ghali Abdulhameed Ma’aji has reiterated his commitment towards empowerment of women and youth through his skills acquisition center if elected in 2023.
Ghali who was speaking at an event organized under his foundation on Saturday said that the aim of the event was to bring together women leaders who have been with the foundation so that his wife will appreciate them.
Ghali who commended the women leaders for what they have been doing to his party, the APC, expressed optimisms that the women leaders would scout for more support to party from their members so that they can vote massively for him and other candidates of the APC at various levels in 2023.
“Even before I joined the APC when I was a commissioner under the APC, I made provision for women, I assisted women in the area of health insurance during which I enlisted 100 women for free health care services for one year at the federal medical center Azare”, he said.
“I think this is one of the areas where the electorates should measure the contribution of candidates in their lives, seeking elective offices and see whether they are qualified to be voted or not”, he advised.
The house of representatives candidate who noted that the health insurance was done by him in his capacity as a Commissioner, said, “you can imagine what I can do if I am given the mandate as house of representatives member”.
Hon Ghali expressed his readiness and commitment to if elected in 2023, help the youth and women get empowered economically to enable them become self reliant.
The house representatives candidate said one of his blueprint has to do with empowering the youth in the area of education.
“One of my blueprint is to see how I can help the youth in the area of education, health, and agriculture and entrepreneurship for both men and women”, he assured.
Hon. Ghali who explained that the youth need to be empowered, pointed out that without entrepreneurship skills, even those who works with the government are not finding it easy.
“If you have job skill as a civil servant and your wife also have something doing, you will get extra income that will take care of your needs, that’s why I set up an entrepreneurship skills center where men and women would acquire training on various skills”, he said.
The house of representatives candidate who cited an example with his wife who is not a civil servant but an entrepreneur, said that the skill she acquired has made her become self reliant.
“That is why I set up entrepreneurship so that men and women can learn one or two things whether they are civil servants or not so that they can have their needs adequately taken care of”, Hon Ghali noted.
The House of representatives member who called on Nigerians to support the APC retain power in 2023, said that the presidential candidate of the party, Senator Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has a lot of agenda that will move the country forward.
“His Excellency, the presidential candidate of our party has a very good plan with regard to setting up and revamping some of our ailing industries to the benefit of our teaming youths. When he was a governor in Lagos he did very well in the area of job creation and he will replicate same gesture if elected in 2023 so that youths would be meaningfully engaged”, Hon. Ghali assured.
The house of representatives candidate added that, “for instance, in Northern Nigeria, there is this gas pipeline that came from Ajaokuta, Kaduna, Kano, if this come here, many industries would have power, most of the industries became moribund due to lack of power supply, so once there is power through that gas pipeline, a lot of industries are going to bounce back and thousands of youths would be gainfully employed”.
Hon. Ghali who hinted that such development forms part of Tinubu’s blueprint, assured that if they all succeeded in getting elected, any proposals that has to do with the progress of the country will have their speedy approval.
The house of representatives candidate while thanking God for making the meeting successful, appreciated the effort of the women for gracing the event and for their support to the APC.
On her part, the wife of the house of representatives candidate, Hajiya Aisha Saleh Nagero, expressed gratitude to the women for honoring their invitation.
“I really appreciate them. We invited the women here to thank them for their massive support to us and for scouting support to my husband’s political ambition. We promised to meet with them and today we succeeded in doing that. We pleaded for their support towards the forthcoming election, the women here are leaders of various women group who are capable bringing a lot of women who have voters cards for us to win the election in Sha Allah”, she said.
Aisha who assured that when elected, her husband will never led the women including the youth down, said that, that informed her decision to come in so that with her, the plights of her fellow women would easily be identified and sort out.
