ATBU promotes 26 staff to Reader, Professor ranks

The management of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU), Bauchi has promoted 26 academic staff to the ranks of Reader and Professor.
This was contained in a press release signed and issued to newsmen in Bauchi on Thursday by the Head, Information and Public Relations
Kabiru Garba Aminu.
“The Governing Council of the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi has confirmed the promotions of 26 academic staff to the ranks of Reader and Professor”, the press release read in parts.
“According to the letter of promotions issued to the staff dated 11th January, 2023 and signed by the Ag. Registrar and Secretary to Council of the
University, Hajia Aisha Idris, the promotions were approved following the receipt of positive external assessments on each staff”, the press release further explained.
It added that out of the 26 promoted, 14 are Professors while 12 are Readers (Associate Professors).
The staff and their new ranks are, Dr. Abdulrahman Sulaiman (Professor/Agricultural economics), Dr. Saeed Yusuf Umar (Professor/ Geo-technical Engineering), Dr. Elijah Robinson Ichakpa (Professor/Energy Studies), Dr. Isah Anakogbe Abdul (Professor/behavioral architecture), Haruna Abdul Usman (Professor/Sustainable Env. Plant and behavioral plant), Dr. Adamu Mohammed Babayo (Professor/Energy conservation and Env. Control), Dr. Usman A. Jalam (Professor/Building material and sust. Env.), Dr. Isaac Ali Kwasu (Professor/Industrial design), Dr. Umar Usman (Professor/Business administration), Dr. Okunola Wilson Olasoji (Professor/Applied Physics), Dr. Auwal Hassan Barde (Professor/Entomology) and Dr. Umar Farouq Lawan (Professor/Analytical chemistry).
Others the press release said include, Dr. Abubakar M. Kwami (Professor/Numerial Sciences), Dr. Yusuf Bara Jibrin ( Professor/Infectious Diseases), Dr. Abdullahi Lanre Amoo ( Reader/Power Systems and Machines), Dr. Bawa Mohammed Ahmed (Reader/Production Engineering), Dr. Mohammed Bello Adamu (Reader/Production Engineering and Dr. Bukar Usman Wakawa (Reader/Human Environment and Health).
The test are, Dr. Abdullahi Ahmed Chinade (Reader/Environment and Development), Dr. Isa Mohammed (Reader/Wild Life Ecology & Bio- diversity Conversation), Dr. Mangai Josiah Mallo (Reader/Management), Dr. Mu’azu Umar Adeiza (Reader/Management), Dr. Mohammed Usman (Reader/Education Technology), Dr. Alkali Mohammed (Reader/Gastroentology), Dr. Sa’idu Abubakar Kadas ( Reader/Obstetrics & Gynecology) and Dr. Aminu Mohammed Baffa (Reader/Obstetrics & Gynecology).
The release which congratulated the newly promoted staff, said that the Council and Management of the University expects them to continue to contribute positively to the development of the University as well as deliver purposeful leadership to their junior colleagues.
