Atiku Door-2-Door Forum Wants Yari For Senate President

A political pressure group, Atiku Door-2-Door Mobilization Forum has called on Senators-elect scheduled for inauguration this Tuesday to ensure the emergence of Senator Abdul’aziz Yari as the Senate President of the 10th Nigerian Senate.

According to the group, the Zamfara-born former governor is the most suitable deserving leader to assume the mantle of leadership at the nation’s upper legislative chamber, having had the political wirewithal and will to drive the Senate.

The forum national president, Amb. Imran Abdullahi Idris made the plea in Bauchi Sunday while fielding journalists’ questions, saying there is wisdom in the leadership of Abdul’aziz Yari who was a former chairman of Nigerian Governor’s Forum (NGF).

Amb. Idris described the former Zamfara state governor as a versatile national political figure with a vast wealth of experience to run such a political conglomerate as the Nigerian Senate with the best of his ability.

“Yari has held various number of political and administrative organizations at both the state and national levels including two terms tenure governor and a Senator in 2019″, these are testimonies of his acumen”.

Amb. Imran Abdullahi Idris expressed optimism that the election of Abdul’aziz Yari as the President of the Senate would add more impetus to the political sagacity of the nation, and therefore called on the senators-elect to make the best use of the opportunity God has afforded them to elect a good leader

Idris expressed confidence that the election of Senator Abdul’aziz Yari would create an enabling atmosphere for good legislations in the red chamber of the National Assembly towards meeting the needs and aspirations of generation of Nigerians.
