Bauchi APC guber aspirant harps on unity among members to regain power in 2023

Alhaji Mahmoud Maijama’a, an aspirant for governorship seat in Bauchi under the All Progressives Congress (APC) has appealed to members of the party in the state to unite and form a formidable platform to wrestle power from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) comes 2023.

Maijama’a who is also the Dallatun Bauchi, former Commissioner of finance and Secretary to the State Government (SSG) made the appeal in an interview with newsmen on Wednesday.

According to him, with the successful inauguration of Aliyu Babayo Misau as chairman of the party in the state, all members should rally round him for the success of the party at the polls.

He stressed the need for members aspiring for elective offices in the forthcoming elections to support the party ahead of the envisioned successful conduct of party primaries.

Maijama’a also urged party faithfuls to bury all forms of acrimonies for the sake of future of the party, maintaining the party in the state cannot continue to play a second fiddle.

While expressing delight that the leadership crisis that rocked the party is now a thing of the past, the guber aspirant congratulated Babayo Aliyu Misau on his successful inauguration as the party’s chairman.

He also commended the National Caretaker Committee under Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe state for the steps it took to end the rift within the APC in Bauchi state.

Maijama’a lauded the leader of the party in the state, the Minister of education, Mallam Adamu Adamu for tirelessly working to keep the APC in the state as one family.

He expressed optimism that better days are ahead for the Bauchi APC to reclaim its rightful mandate from the PDP.

“With this development, we now need to move on by nipping in the bud our individual differences for the collective interest of the party”, Maijama’a said.

“I respect and commend the national executives for a job well done, our leader, the Minister of education, Malam Adamu Adamu and the immediate past speaker of the House of Representatives Yakubu Dogara for providing the rightful and much needed leadership of the party in the state”, Alhaji Maijama’a further said.

He equally prayed for success, peace and unity of the APC at the end of her National Convention scheduled for February 26, 2022.
