Bauchi APC Youths Forum Seeks For Fresh State Congress

Concern Youths Forum of the APC in Bauchi has called for the dissolution of the anointed leadership of the party in the state with a view to conduct a fresh election into the party’s leadership.
“We the Bauchi state Youths Concern Forum are appealing to the APC National Leadership to dissolve the imposed leadership and conduct a fresh congress in line with provision of the constitution of our party within 14 days for peace and unity to reign”.
According to a press statement signed by forum chairman, Abubakar Umar Turaki, and made available to journalists in Bauchi Wednesday, said that the so-called consensus which culminated in the imposition of leaders contradicted the guidelines of party congress.
It could be recalled that the National Convention Committee of APC under the leadership of Mai Mala Buni had set 16th October, 2021 as the date for conducting APC state congress, but as with Bauchi state chapter, the exercise ended with the formation of two paralleled state executives of the party.
Turaki expressed regret that instead of seeing delegates trooping to the congress venue last Saturday, delegates and other relevant stakeholders to the event became worthless and valueless as no congress took place, but new party executives purportedly emerged from Abuja.
“The Minister of Education as party leader in the state in collaboration with erstwhile speaker House of representatives Hon. Yakubu Dogara constituted and imposed state executives without consulting our party delegates and stakeholders which contradict the provision of our party constitution and that of the federal republic of Nigeria”.
The Bauchi APC Youths noted that Mallam Adamu Adamu is not a grassroot politician to work for the success of APC at any level of party leadership, alleging “If you could be recalling during the previous election, Adamu Adamu fought against our party and supported the candidates of opposition parties”.
The youth’s forum while expressing non-confidence on the ability of the education minister to lead the APC in the state, said Adamu Adamu should not be entrusted with such sensitive responsibility which requires sincerity.
