Bauchi assembly passes bill for establishment of Border Communities Development Agency

The Bauchi state house of assembly has during its Wednesday sitting, passed a bill into law for the establishment of the Bauchi State Border Communities Development Agency.
This was contained in a summary of the Wednesday plenary of the house made available to our Corresspondent by the spokesperson of the speaker, Comrade Abdul Ahmad Burra.
Burra who said that the plenary was presided over by the speaker of the assembly, Rt. Hon. Abubakar Suleiman, noted that the passed the bill after receiving a report on the bill by the House Committee On Special Duties.
Burra said in the summary of the plenary that the report which was laid before the assembly by the Chairman of the Committee Hon. Baballe Abubakar Dambam of Dambam/Dagauda/Jalam Constituency, indicated all the relevant stakeholders were engaged to a public hearing in which inputs were gotten.
The spokesperson of the speaker said that the Committee highlighted the importance of the Bill and recommended that the assembly members pass it into law.
He said that the report and recommendations of the house Committee was unanimously adopted by the house.
According to the summary of the plenary, the Majority Leader of the House Hon. Tijjani Muhammad Aliyu requested the Honourable House to allow the Bill undergo third reading.
Burra said, upon approval by the plenary, Speaker Abubakar Sulaiman directed the Deputy Clerk of the House, Lamara Abdu Chinade to carryout the third reading, after which the Bill was passed into law
