Bauchi assembly speaker tells Bala not to campaign, says his achievements will speak for him

Bauchi state Governor, Bala Mohammed have been asked to relax and bother not to campaign, as his achievements will speak for him to defeat Guber candidates of other political parties in 2023.

The Speaker of the state assembly, Rt. Hon. Abubakar Suleiman stated this while speaking during the flag-off of distribution of empowerment packages to 1000 women and youth in Warji and Ningi local government areas on Saturday.

As contained in a press release signed by the Spokesperson of the speaker, Comrade Abdul Ahmad Burra, Rt. Hon. Abubakar said that the achievements recorded by the governor in less than four years of his administration have already campaigned for his re-election in 2023.

The speaker pointed out that, with or without campaigning for re-election the Governor will have a landslide victory against his opponents considering his laudable developmental projects across the state.

The Speaker who commended the Governor for the empowerment initiative, said whether the Governor visit the areas for campaign or not, people of Ningi and Warji will vote for him, as the projects have already campaigned for him.

The Speaker said there was no Governor in history of Bauchi state who went round the state and be dishing out resources to citizens for them to become self reliant like Bala Mohammed.

He said that the empowerment initiative under the Kaura Economic Empowerment Programme (KEEP) will surely enhance the economic status of the beneficiaries and create wealth for the State.

Speaker Abubakar who urged the beneficiaries of the Programme to make good use of the packages, prayed to Almighty Allah to continue to guide the Governor right and give him the opportunity to continue doing more for the development of the state.

Addressing the beneficiaries, Governor Bala Mohammed said that the economic empowerment Programme was designed to make the citizens become self reliant.

The Governor noted that his administration has created conducive environment for the beneficiaries to be economically productive thereby boosting their economic activities.

According to him, with the launching of the programme in Warji and Ningi local government areas, 16 out of the 20 local government areas of the state have been covered by the economic intervention.

Our Corresspondent reports that Warji and Ningi local governments got N150 million worth empowerment packages which was distributed to 1000 beneficiaries in the two LGs.
