Bauchi Gov flags-off resumption of daily flight from Abuja to Bauchi

Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi state has yesterday flagged-off the resumption of daily flight by Value Jet Airline from Abuja to Bauchi.

The Governor while speaking at the Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa International Airport, the venue of the event, said that the resumption of flight by Value Jet Airline will boost tourism industry in the state.

Bala noted that the resumption of flight marks a significant milestone in his administration’s ongoing efforts to enhance transportation, facilitate the movement of goods, services, and people.

According to him, the effort will also promote the growth of Bauchi state, as transportation is the lifeblood of any thriving economy.

Governor Mohammed further explained that flights from Abuja to Bauchi will play a pivotal role in connecting the state with the rest of the nations.

“It’s a crucial artery for the exchange of commerce, ideas, and culture. I want to emphasize our commitment to ensuring ease of business, security, and the safe movement of people and goods within Bauchi State”, he said.

The Governor who stressed that his government has invested heavily in road networks, however, noted that air travel is equally essential.

He pointed out that Abubakar Tafawa International Airport, serves not only Bauchi State but also neighboring states of Yobe, Jigawa, Gombe, and Adamawa.

Bala who commended the management of the Airline for choosing Bauchi state as one of its destinations, stated that the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa International Airport boasts with state-of-the-art facilities to ensure the effective operation of airlines.

“Your decision is a testament to the immense potential and opportunities that our state offers. Be assured that the Bauchi State government stands firmly behind you”, the Governor assured.

He expressed the commitment of the state towards ensuring the profitability and smooth operation of the airline in the state.

The governor while thanking the regulatory agencies under the Ministry of Aviation for their support in maintaining the airport to global standards and best practice, reiterated his administration’s unwavering commitment to promoting ease of doing business and ensuring the safety of passengers.

Governor Bala who further stressed that Bauchi State, under his leadership, is open to doing business with the world, noted that a well-functioning airport is vital for harnessing the tourism and investment opportunities in Bauchi State and the northern part of Nigeria.

He called on all the airlines operating on Abuja to Bauchi route to maintain the highest standards of professionalism, punctuality, and consistency.
