Bauchi govt okays employment of over 1,000 medical staff

With a view to boost the health sector, overnor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has approved the revalidation of employment of 1,061 pre-service medical students into the state main Service.

The approval was contained in a statement issued Wednesday by the Head of Civil Service, Alhaji Yahuza Adamu Haruna.

According to the statement, the true position of the pre-service medical students should be ascertained before the appointment letters would be given to them.

The number one Civil servant in the state added that the decision was part of the state government’s efforts towards improving the Health services from the grassroot levels and human capital investment in the sector.

The governor has in another development, directed for the verification of the veterinary students of ministry of agriculture for proper placement into the state main civil service.

The head of service said, the move was also part of deliberate attempt by the present administration to provide job opportunities for the youth in the state.

Alhaji Yahuza while commending the governor for his support to the Civil Service in the state, appealed to Civil Servants to reciprocate the kind gesture through dedication and hard work.
