Bauchi: Police arrests suspect for alleged killing of 30yr old man over refusal to buy him beer

A 29 year old Monday Ajasco has been arrested by over alleged killing of one, Abdulrazak Ibrahim ‘m’ aged 30yrs in Bauchi state.
The Commissioner of Police, Bauchi state Command, Aminu Alhassan who stated this in a press release on Monday, said that suspect, Monday Ajasco of Kafin Tafawa, Bauchi was arrested on 17th November, 2022.
Signed by the Police Public Relations Officer of the Command, SP Ahmed Mohammad Wakil, the press release said that suspect was arrested following an information made available to the police.
According to him, discreet investigation showed that the suspect perpetrated the act after a failed attempt to have the victim purchase beer for him.
According to the press release, the suspect (Monday) had on the 16th November 2022 went to a beer parlor at Bagel village of Dass LGA where he met the victim (Abdulrazak) and others at beer parlor in Bagel village.
“He (the suspect) asked the said Abdulrazak (deceased) to buy him a beer to drink. In response, the deceased refused to do so”, the CP revealed.
He said that the development sparked a little altercation between them which displeases the suspect.
The press release further revealed that after a while, the victim and his friends decided to go back to their respective homes while the suspect left before them.
“The deceased’s friend heard screaming from his friend from afar and on reaching the scene, he met his friend lying in a pool of his blood while the suspect was standing near the victim holding a sharp animal horn in his hand”, police said.
The press release further revealed that the suspect also threatened to stab the victim’s friend for questioning his action.
CP Aminu pointed out that investigation into the incident also revealed that the suspect trailed and attacked the victim on his neck with a sharp object suspected to be an animal horn.
“As a result, he sustained a serious injury where he was swiftly rushed to the General Hospital Dass but was certified dead by the medical doctor”, the press release said.
It added that the suspect will be charged to court for prosecution on completion of the investigation
