Daily Times, leadership correspondents emerged Bauchi correspondents’ chapel Secretary, Treasurer

The Bauchi state Correspondent of the Daily Times Newspapers, Mr Samuel Luka has on Friday emerged the Secretary of the Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Bauchi.

Luka was inaugurated alongside the Correspondent of the Leadership Hausa Newspapers, Mr Khalid Idris Doya after returning unopposed in a bye- election to fill in the two vacant positions that existed after the Chapel’s election on 10th September, 2020.

The election which was conducted in August saw the emergence of Mr Ahmed Mohammed of Peoples Daily Newspapers, Auwal Hassan of viewer TV and Mr Rauf Oyewole of Guardian Newspapers as Chairman, Vice Chairman and the Financial Secretary respectively.

The Chairman of the Bauchi state Council of the Union Comrade Umar Sa’idu who inaugurated the two officials urged them to uphold the ethics of the profession.

Represented by the Financial Secretary b he of the Bauchi state Council of the NUJ, Alhaji Najib Sani, the Chairman also advised the Chapel to ensure that the remaining position of the Auditor is filled in due course.
