Bauchi state Gov’t declares Friday as work-free day for Dass LG bye-election.
Bauchi state governor Bala Mohammed has declared Friday as work-free day to enable voters prepared for the Dass House of assembly bye- election to hold on Saturday.
This was contained in a press statement signed by Umar Sa’idu on behalf of the State Head of Service, Alhaji Aliyu Jibo and made available to newsmen in Bauchi.
The statement directed all heads of Ministries, MDAs and the Local government chairman of Dass to release the officers in their respective duty posts to enable them participate fully in the upcoming House of assembly bye election.
“Senator Bala Mohammed, (Kauran Bauchi) Executive Governor of Bauchi State has granted approval to declare tomorrow Friday, 04th December, 2020 as work free day to Dass indigenes only”,
It can be recall that the lawmaker representing Dass Hon Musa Mante Baraza was in August 2020 was killed by unknown gunmen at his residence in Dass local government area of Bauchi state.
The Police Public Relations Officer of the Bauchi state command, DSP Ahmed Wakil, had while confirming the incident said the gunmen who invaded the lawmaker’s house in the night abducted his two wives and one year old child after killing him.
Our correspondent report that the two wives of the late lawmaker and the child have since regained their freedom.
