Former Dogara’s Aides tackles Magaji, others, says no aide has deserted the former speaker

Some former Aides to the Ex-speaker, Yakubu Dogara from Bogoro, Dass and Tafawa Balewa federal constituency, led by Hon. Ya’u Soja Dass have chided former LG Chairman of Bogoro, Iliya Habila, his Tafawa Balewa counterpart, Barr. Kefas Musa Magaji and others over their comments against their principal in some section of the media.
Addressing a press conference at the Bauchi NUJ state Secretariat, Wednesday, Hon. Ya’u Soja said many of the people raising such allegations were the ones the former speaker has been helping for almost 20 years.
Ya’u debunked the allegations that some of the former aides to Dogara have deserted him because of his political antics which is heating up the polity in the state.
“Those so called former aides are disgruntled elements, some of whom were hangers-on, who the former speaker, Rt. Hon. Dogara Yakubu has been helping for almost 20 years”, he said.
The former Aides were reacting to some allegations levelled against Yakubu Dogara by a former aide to the Bauchi state governor, Barrister Kefas Musa Magaji and his cohorts during a press conference in Bauchi.
Ya’u who said they wouldn’t have ordinary responded to the allegations, noted that it was necessary to address the question they raised in order to put the record straight.
Ya’u while stating that the allegations raised by Kefas Musa Magaji at a press conference on 14th March, 2023 were unfounded, added that they are lies from the blues coming from someone nursing the pains of losing an election, and that it should not surprise any sensible person.
Yau said that the press conference by the so called concerned Zaar and claimed ethnic groups of Tafawa Balewa and Bogoro Local Government Areas of Bauchi State was informed by the tears of Governor Bala after a series of failed media propaganda of what happened in his hometown, Duguri.
While advising members of the public not to take what he described as monumental lies with a pinch of salt, Hon Ya’u Dass said, it is pertinent for them to ask some questions regarding the whereabout of Kefas Magaji and others when Governor Bala Mohammed constructed thousands of housing units and refused to allocate a single unit to Tafawa Balewa and Bogoro Local Governments.
“Why didn’t they fight for Zaar Land to get even a single unit?Where was Kefas Magaji when Bala Mohammed was busy developing Bununu area while no single project was allocated to Tafawa Balewa town and Saghn Gami land? Did he ever fight for any projects anywhere near Zaar land, and if he did, where are the projects? Let them name the projects”, they demanded.
Ya’u Dass challenged Barr. Magaji and his co travellers to tell Zaar people where Bala Mohammed got the billions he used to build the biggest private residence in Nigeria in Bauchi at the time he failed or refused to pay workers salaries and pension since 2019.
While challenging Magaji and Habila to tell the people where their principal, Governor Bala Mohammed got the money he used in his failed presidential bid, Ya’u Dass also queried how the duo managed Bogoro and Tafawa Balewa funds when they served as chairmen.
“Let them tell Zaarland what happened to LGA funds under their watch as chairmen. Can they, in all honesty, render an account to our people? Are they not driven by fear of Rt. Hon Dogara’s assertion that anyone who has stolen LGA funds or state funds would be made to face the music when Air Marshall Sadiq Abubakar becomes governor? He asked.
“We call our people to ignore these characters that are known serial liars and can do anything to defend the crumbs they pick from Kaura’s table against the larger interest of our people which Kaura is busy raping”, Dogara’s former Aides said.
Yau who asserted that Kefas Magaji and Iliya Habila have failed to defend Zaar interest as highlighted above, lamented that they are busy defending Kaura.
He alleged that the duo “are Kaura’s co-drifters having given him unfettered access to our LGA funds and are now dead-scared of any change of government that will expose their crime against our people”.
“We have the records of their sleeze while serving as Chairmen of Tafawa Balewa and Bogoro LGAs, and thankfully, it is before the EFCC too. We urge our people to ignore these characters who are prepared to sell our rights for a morsel of meal”, Ya’u Dass pointed out.
“As a smart people, we must look at the direction Bauchi people are going and join in so that we don’t waste our votes.
“As a people, we urge our Zaar brothers/sisters to invest our votes rather than waste them on Kaura whose ambition is already doomed if signals from other LGAs in Bauchi State are anything to go by. Let us invest our votes in Air Marshal Sadiq, the man who brought Air force University to Bauchi state and more specifically Tafawa Balewa”, Hon Ya’u Dass said.
“It is on record that Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara was given 51% of the party structure in PDP then, but graciously decided to cast his weight behind Kaura who eventually emerged the party’s flag bearer”, the former speaker’s Aides said.
