Ramadan: Bawu foundation donates food items to less privileged people

A Non-profit making organization known as Bawu Foundation Misau has donated assorted food items to less privileged people in Misau local government area of Bauchi state to help them partake in this year’s Ramadan fasting without constraints.

The Coordinator of the Foundation, Usman Bello Misau, said that the gesture was meant to ameliorate the difficulties been experienced by the beneficiaries, particularly in this period of rising cost of food stuffs.

“Just like any other good Muslim, this holy month of Ramadan is meant for total submission to Allah as well as seeking his blessings”, he said.

The Coordinator added that during Ramadan those who have are expected to help the needy.

“It is to that regard that the Director of this Foundation, Barr. Ahmed Yarima has for more than ten days now, embarked on distributing spaghetti, maltina, cash among other food items to the needy”, he said.

According to the Coordinator of the Foundation, the Director, Yarima has extended the gesture to many households, including villages in Misau local government area.

He added that the gesture is putting smiles in the faces of the beneficiaries and are praying for him to succeed in all his endeavors.

He recalled that last year, the Foundation also donated food items so many households, nooks and crannies of Misau, mosques, Islamiyya schools and many others.

He said that the foundation was established two years ago and has recorded tremendous achievements.

The Coordinator mentioned some of the achievements of the foundation to include, provision of prayer mats, fixing of windows, rehabilitation of some mosques, among others.

He further noted that the foundation has also assisted many people in the area of education, healthcare, among numerous interventions.

Usman Bello Misau who call on other well-meaning citizens to emulate the Yarima Bawu Foundation, said such gesture will foster progress and development of the society.
