Gov Bala appoints Bauchi NUJ Chairman, Comrade Sa’idu, four others as IMC for Wikki Tourists Football Club

Bauchi State Council Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) and four others have been appointed by Governor Bala Mohammed of the state as interim Management Committee (IMC) members for Wikki Tourists Football Club.

According to a statement signed by the Information Officer of the state’s Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, Bashir Shehu, the new interim Management will oversee the National League (NNL) side, following the disengagement of the previous management in July.

The statement stated that Aminu Umar is to serve as Chairman with Sa’idu Chadi as secretary of the interim Committee of the football club.

Others are Alhassan Mohammed, Dauda Chiroma, and the NUJ chairman Umar Sa’idu who are to serve as members.

According to the statement, the move underscores the government’s commitment to revitalize and strengthen the operations of the state’s cherished football institution.

The statement further noted that the newly appointed interim management team is composed of highly experienced and dedicated professionals, each bringing a wealth of expertise in various aspects of football management.

It noted that the collective skills of the Committee members is expected to play a pivotal role in shaping the club’s future endeavors, from player development to administrative efficiency.

Governor Bala Mohammed expressed optimisms that with the backing of the state government and the newly appointed interim management, the club is ready to embark on a journey of rejuvenation and growth.
