“The man that was brutally removed from here was my brother and he brought a lot of collaboration and synergy between the government and the Corps”, the Governor further noted.
According to him, “what you have seen on the ground it was because of him, but I think he was punished for being good and that is the collateral damage that he suffered from because sometimes leaders bring politics into governance which is very unfortunate”.
“You are always at the receiving end, you, the Command and what have you but I wish you well and I wish the Commandant General well and we will continue to work with you, there is nothing personal about it, but certainly I wish him all the best because he’s one of the best person I have met as an officer of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps”, Bala pointed out.
The Governor who explained that he has a very good relationship with the NSCDC, said his administration is always ready to lend support with the hope that the gesture will be reciprocated.
“We are only doing it on behalf of the people who brought us by the grace of God, to power.
“I provided about ten vehicles for you so that you will be able to do complementary services to what the police and the Nigerian Army are doing”, Bala said.
“Because we believe in you but certainly we are doing it because we should have synergy and understanding”, the Governor explained.
The Governor said that the government and the NSCDC must work hard to provide the conducive atmosphere for the law abiding citizens to sleep with their eyes closed.
Bala Mohammed while advising the officers of the NSCDC to be good all the time as security agency that is very close to the people, urged them to always work to rid Communities of every criminal tendencies and not abating it.
The newly posted Bauchi state Commandant, Ilelaboye waide Oyejide has while speaking earlier, noted that his presence in Bauchi was to rid it of all illegal miners as well as to protect critical assets of the government.
