Gov Bala inaugurates Faruq Mustapha’s over 600-member PDP presidential, Governorship campaign committee

A over 600-member Committee for the People’s Democratic Party PDP campaigns ahead the 2023 general elections has been inaugurated in Bauchi State by Governor Bala Mohammed of the state.

Bala while inaugurating the campaign Committee at the government house on Wednesday, assured contestants from other political parties of a level playing ground as the country heads for polls in 2023.

According to Governor Bala Mohammed, the over 600-member committee has thirty one various sub committees, all to be headed by a former APC governorship aspirant in Bauchi, Faruq Mustapha Ahmed as the Director General.

The Governor who boasted that the PDP remains the strongest and more popular political party with the capacity of winning elective positions, charged the Committee members to go back to their respective domains and canvas for votes.

“You have to all go back to the grassroots where our people are and canvas for votes, so this Campaign Council is Constituency-based. No matter your position in the party because even the Presidential candidate has said that he will go back to his constituency to monitor there”, the governor said.

Bala who reasoned that elections are won by the polling units and not at the government house which informed the idea of inaugurating the campaign Committee, also urged Bauchi people to vote for PDP from the top to the bottom.

The Governor warned members of the PDP against anti party activities, said that the PDP will emerge victorious when the 2023 elections comes.

“If anybody feels he has the federal government to support him, we have God and we have people at the grassroots and everybody has seen what we have been able to do for our people in Bauchi”, he said.

The Governor who said that the PDP is not afraid of facing the 2023 general elections, added that the party in Bauchi will not sleep and be careless.

“Money is nothing. We were first voted even without the money, but we are hopeful that God will give us the opportunity because people love us”, the governor pointed out.

He noted that his government has so far, achieved 80 – 90 percent of its campaign promises, explaining that roads have been constructed, hospitals and schools have been built and others renovated.

According to him, houses of traditional rulers have been renovated to standard in addition to payment of salaries civil servants as at when due as well as pension and gratuity.

“We are indigenes and the people belong to us and we are grateful that we keep increasing in number. We have to join hands and be patient with each other so that we can win one million votes in each of the coming elections in the state”, the Governor said.

He expressed the readiness of the PDP to go round all the nooks and crannies of the state to meet and talk to people and listen to them, as according to him, “politics is wisdom, we will do our best.”

The Governor hinted that the PDP will start its campaign next week Wednesday, assuring that their Secretariat and Directors are all ready to commence work in earnest.

The Director General of the Campaign Committee, Faruq Mustapha assured the governor and the PDP of the committee’s readiness to mobilize the required voters for the party’s victory in 2023.
