Governor Bala has ensured equitable distribution of wealth across the state, says Faggo

The political adviser to Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi state, Alhaji Ahmad Abubakar Faggo said that his principal has since assumption of office in May 2019, ensured equitable distribution of wealth across different segments of the state.

Alhaji Faggo who was speaking to our Corresspondent in an exclusive interview Monday explained that the Governor has in his ongoing empowerment program, included every citizen of the state regardless of their political affiliation.

“Since the Governor came on board he has been carrying almost everybody along in his empowerment program, but you know in life, if you are yet to benefit from something, you will feel as if nothing is happening. But you may agree with me that no body has done what the governor is doing when you are talking about empowerment of the citizens”, he said.

“It amazes some people if they see the way the empowerment items are been distributed across board, they are like, ah! this program is not only for PDP, everyone is included, being PDP, APC or what have you, everybody is involved”, the political adviser further explained.

According to him, even those opposed to the government have benefited from the governor’s gesture because the governor considers himself as the governor for all the people of Bauchi state and not for his party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

“You may discover that even somebody who is opposing the government is a beneficiary, perhaps an association he belongs to have gotten the allocation. I can tell you that in all the local governments that have benefitted so far, it is not only PDP that benefited but various organizations. It is almost fifty fifty”, Alhaji Faggo said.

“Let me tell you, not because I am part of this government, His Excellency has also ensured that local contractors are considered in the award of contracts so that they can be empowered”, he said.

According to him, the present administration has apart from executing numerous developmental projects across the state, distributed empowerment items to the citizens in many parts of the state through the Kaura Economic Empowerment Program (KEEP).

He added that the KEEP which is an ongoing project that has equipped thousands of the beneficiaries with different empowerment tools, including cash, is expected to cover all the 20 local government areas of the state.

Alhaji Faggo said Governor Bala Mohammed has executed various infrastructural facilities, such as road construction, building and renovations of health facilities, schools and many other sections of the economy for the benefit of all the citizens.

Faggo while calling on other citizens of the state who are yet to benefit from the program to exercise patience noted that the program will reach them in due time as the present administration in state is very sensitive to the plights of the generality of the people.
