Governor Inuwa Mourns RFI Correspondent, Shehu Saulawa


Gombe State Governor,  Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has expressed sadness over the demise of veteran journalist, Malam Shehu Saulawa of the Radio France International, RFI who passed on yesterday in Bauchi after a protracted illness. 

Governor Inuwa, in a message of condolence issued by Ismaila Uba Misilli, Director-General, (Press Affairs), Government House Gombe, described the late international pressman as a highly resourceful media practitioner who demonstrated professionalism and capacity during his stint at various media organisations, including the British Broadcasting Corporation,  BBC. 


He noted that Saulawa’s death will leave a huge hole in the spectrum of journalism profession, not only in northern Nigeria,  but nationally and internationally.


Governor Inuwa, on behalf of the government and people of Gombe State,  conveyed his deepest condolences to the immediate family of the deceased,  his professional colleagues as well as the management and staff of RFI over the great loss,  praying Almighty Allah to grant him Aljannat Firdaus.
