Governor Inuwa Yahaya Condemns Gruesome Murder Of 58 Year Old Woman In Gombe, Directs Security To Track Down Culprits

 

Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, has  strongly condemned the gruesome murder of Aishatu Abdullahi, a 58-year-old mother of 8 in Jekadafari ward of Gombe metropolis, describing the incident as a mindles act.  

The Governor directed the Police and other relevant security agencies in the state to mobilise  investigative assets and ensure that the perpetrators of this heinous act are brought to justice.

He vowed that Gombe State, under his watch holds a steadfast commitment to ensuring the safety and security of all its citizens, according to statement issued by his media aide Ismaila Uba Misilli. 

“We have a zero-tolerance policy towards criminal activities, and this incident only strengthens our resolve to uphold the peace and security that our state is known for”.

“I want to make it abundantly clear that there will be no escape from justice for those responsible for this vile and vicious act. Our security agencies are directed to leave no stone unturned to track down the culprits to account for their heinous action. 

He conveyed the deepest condolences of the government and people of Gombe State to the bereaved family.  

“The details of this incident, as preliminarily reported by the police, are nothing short of horrifying and a dark stain. Our hearts bleed for the bereaved family, who are grappling with an unimaginable loss, and for the Jekadafari community as well as the entire citizens, who are now scarred by the traumatic aftermath of this tragic event”. 

The Governor called on the people of the state to remain calm vigilant in the face of any threat to our collective security, vowing that Gombe State will not waver in its commitment to preserving the peace and tranquility that it holds so dear.
