Guber primary election: Yobe governor, Buni returned Unopposed

Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni was returned unopposed in the APC governorship primary held in Damaturu.

This was made known in a press statement signed by
Mamman Mohammed,
DG, Press and Media Affairs to the governor.

According to him, said a total of 890 delegates were accredited, 825 votes were cast, 20 votes were declared invalid and Governor Buni was returned as the APC governorship candidate with 805 valid votes.

Governor Buni commended the delegates for their confidence in him, assuring that, his government will continue to serve the people deligently to further improve their lives.

He said the unity and collective sense of belonging and direction, has made Yobe state a role model of progressive democracy in Nigeria.

The governor solicited for more support and cooperation in order to consolidate the gains recorded by his administration.
